4TH Regiment, Templus V

Templus V is a small world far out on the galactic fringe, although located centrally within a rather vast neighborhood of Imperial worlds. Templus V holds the distinction of being home to one of the largest Imperial shrines outside of Terra and the inner worlds. Nearly the entire 3 billion population of the Templus system is involved in the maintenance, support and protection of the shrine.

Templus V also houses bases for the Inquisition, the Adeptus Administratum, an Adeptus Arbites precinct, a small convent of Adepta Soroitas, an Imperial Naval base, a regiment of Imperial Guard and a special contingent of Space Marines, made up of a small revolving mixture marines from various chapters.

The various imperial warriors stationed on Templus V are responsible for maintaining the imperial rule in this sector of the galaxy. This is the main reason for the strange and varied assortment of imperial cults here. A secondary reason for the odd location of these bases is that Templus V system is the end point of one of the few safe passages through the warp from Terra and the inner worlds.

All told the sphere of influence they control and protect comprises 245 worlds and more than 2 trillion citizens of the Imperium. The range of operations they are called upon to complete include: putting down minor and major rebellions and heretical uprisings; destroying Genestealer incursions and cults; battling Chaos Marine raiding and invasion forces; protecting outlying interests from Eldar or Ork raiders; and protecting the worlds from the many raids by a particularly crafty Dark Eldar Archon and his twisted warriors.

Below details the makeup of the forces which act as the elite strike forces in the region around Templus V. Although often accompanied by a very small and specialized contingent of Space Marines from various chapters, they are not detailed here. The makeup of the Space Marine force may changes too often, usually campaign by campaign, for an effective organization chart to be developed.
