Pacific Marauders
Warhammer 40,000 League
Hosted by Games Wherehouse
Introduction:
Fun, fun, fun! This league will have an emphasis on playing
six fun games and will attempt to de-emphasize shiving your
opponent from the shadows and then garroting his gasping form
in the darkness. Sure, it sounds like fun - but it doesn't always
translate into a fun game for him (or her). If you ask yourself at
this point, "why do I care what HE thinks?", then just close this
page and move on.
Overview:
This will be a 6 week league beginning on Wednesday, October 1st
and ending on Wednesday, November 5th. A $10 sign up fee will be
required, which will be used for various prizes to be given out
after the league has concluded.
Army lists will be fixed, and must be submitted one week in
advance using the criteria given below (see Army Lists). Although
players are encouraged to play the army of their choice, much
emphasis will be placed on composition and well balanced lists.
Any list deemed to be an abuse of it’s codex will be returned to
it’s owner for modification, and the player may be moved down the
list. Sign-up fees will not be collected until the army list has
been approved, and no player is considered to be officially signed
up until the fee has been paid to the Venue.
Sign-ups will be limited to 20 individuals.
Models:
Armies must be made up of Citadel, Marauder, Fanatic or Forge
World miniatures and must be WYSIWYG. Although models do not need
to be painted to play in the league, points will be awarded for
painted models.
Army Lists:
Armies must be prepared using only one Force Organization chart
using 3rd edition Warhammer 40,000 rules and may use any 3rd
edition Codex or Chapter Approved book. No trial or experimental
army lists may be used. Imperial Armor books may be used, but no
Super Heavies or Flyers will be allowed. Special Characters that
require your opponents permission to use are prohibited.
Lists must be submitted in three parts:
- A main force of 1500 points.
- Reserve ‘A’ consisting of 250 points.
- Reserve ‘B’ consisting of 250 points.
All three parts must fit into a single, Standard Force
Organization chart. Reserves 'A' and 'B' will be used in
some games to supplement your basic force.
Special Rules:
- Jungle fighting rules found in Codex: Catachans, Vehicle
Design Rules, and Tyranid Design Rules will not be in effect
unless otherwise specified.
- The Trial Vehicle rules WILL be in effect - with some
modifications.
- Players will be held responsible to know their army’s
Codex as well as any Chapter Approved rule clarifications
and Q&A appearing in White Dwarf. Please check the Games
Workshop web site for any relevant FAQs, however many of
these resources may be kept on-site for your use.
We hope that you can make it!
