Cybercathedral in Cryogenic Suspension
I'm sure that it has been obvious for lo these many months that the cybercathdral mainpage has been on hiatus - but now its official. The site will not be receiving any updates until such a time as I get back into miniatures gaming or someone else feels like providing content.

Have a nice day.

+++ General Update +++
The last update was in May?!? I get back into the local league and lose all track of time. Well let's see what's been going on...

Light and Shadow League: Scotty's last hurrah was a great success. The heroes and assassins made for a strange twist and the league in general was run with Scotty's usual adeptness. The overall winner? Mr. Jason Eberwein and his Tyranid hoard. With Dave Fay's bug victory in the previous league we just have to ask - is this the sign of things to come? Can anyone challenge the Tyranid menace???

July 40k Rogue Trader: With a turn-out of about 22 eager participants, the RTT was large enough to keep things interesting. Yet again, Jason's bugs rose to the challenge to take the top honor. Can this guy be stopped?

Cult of the Devourer League: With the departure of Scott to the far side of the globe we find Shane at the reigns of this new league. There are still two games to go but it is starting to look as though there may be at least two bug players in the finals of this league. Has the Tyranid list simply become the new Chaos (i.e., crutch army)? Only time will tell!

+++ Warning: Space Hulk Approaching +++
Come on down to Game Empire every Wednesday night to play some Space Hulk. I'll be down there with a ton of board sections and Genestealers, but a limited number of Terminators, so anyone who can bring their own Termies should do precisely that. Space Hulk will be played from about 4:00 pm until the league games start.

I've got a small collection of new missions, as well as all of the old tried-and-true favorites, so come on down and enter the Hulk!

Bugfest 2004 Coverage
With the approach of Bugfest '05, I thought that I'd better dust off the pics of Bugfest '04 and get them posted. Hey, they're only 6 months late. I may add more information to the page at a later time, but at least there is a page to look at now.
[access it via the Events page]

Check it out and mull over the fond rememberances.

Pacific Marauders storm Games Day!

Your own Pacific Marauders made it up to Games Day this year with a kill team/creature feature table. We had a great turn-out from the club and great participation from the public and I would like to give a big "Thank You" to everyone who participated by working so hard on the kill teams and monsters, helping out with the construction of the table, setting up and breaking down the table, and running the event itself. I would also like to thank all of the fanatical gamers who stopped by and spent their precious time at our event - I hope you all enjoyed yourselves!
The whole thing was just a huge blast and we can hardly wait to do it again next year.

Apparently this was the first year that Games Workshop offered a prize for Best Club Table, and your local boys made good by bringing home the trophy.

Coverage of the event later this week, as soon as the pictures are gathered and processed.

...no, really.

Okay, okay - so I've been out of it for a while. That doesn't mean that nothing's been going on, though. Here's a taste of what's coming up in the near future:

March 2: Warhammer 40,000 League sign-ups. Hosted by Game Empire and run by Mr. Scott McMullen. I think you'll find this the very best of what San Diego has to offer the 40k community (at least on a weekly basis). Space is limited, so make sure to swing by and get your foot in the door.

April 9: Games Day 2005 - Los Angeles. Our own Pacific Marauders will be hosting a table at this event for the first time ever! Hopefully this will be the start of something wonderful. We'll feature kill teams battling against creature feature monstrosities upon a most treacherous swamp table. Worth the trip up to LA all by itself!

I'm sure that there's more, but I'll have to catch all of that later...

Bugfest 2004 is the next fine Pacific Marauders event - to be hosted by Game Empire on October 2nd.

It will feature a large Imperial city beseiged by Tyranid horrors. For more information, click on the banner above.

Cheesefest 2004 is upon us! The nastiest armies imaginable will be pouring out of the woodwork to defile a gaming table near you.

Oh, the horror!

The not-so-grand event will be taking place on Saturday, August 14th at Game Wherehouse. There's room in the tourney and time to sign up, so unwrap that Gouda and cut us a thick slice! Sign up on the forums or contact me for more information.
